The baby shower invitations were easy. There were plenty of choices and we just needed to narrow it down to the one she liked the best. Elephants and monkeys, with giraffes and lions thrown in for fun. Then came the joy of planning the decor and menu.
We used plenty of plastic monkeys around the decor and even found some that could hang from the punch bowl. Of course, banana pudding and banana split sundaes were on the dessert menu. Several stuffed toy animals were set on the chairs and couch in place of the throw pillows. We had a lion, giraffe and tiger. These were given to my daughter as her first baby gifts.
Palm trees were used as part of the buffet table decor and we added in several little baby jungle animal candles (unlit) to accent the decor. This all started with the looks from the baby shower invitations. We just made use of the design elements to come up with the color scheme and the decorating items.
That's why I like picking out the baby shower invitations first. We get so many ideas for the decorating from them. That was certainly true with the baby jungle animals invitations.
